Activa Autòno+

Grants of up to € 3,000 for the first year’s expenses

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS 2023 (from 05/07/2023 to 05/09/2023)

Barcelona City Council, through Barcelona Activa, offers grants to self-employed people with the aim of alleviating the financial burden that the self-employed person has to assume during the first year of activity.

The amount of the subsidy will be calculated on the basis of the justifiable expenses at the time of the application, up to a maximum of € 3,000.

DEDUCTIBLE EXPENSES

Social Security contributions.
Taxes related to the commencement of economic activity and initial start-up.
Management and consultancy services.
Rent of premises or offices fiscally related to the activity.
Rental of coworking spaces and/or services provided by these establishments in relation to professional activity.
Expenses derived from energy consumption (electricity, gas and fuel).

WHO CAN APPLY FOR THESE SUBSIDIES?

All the people registered as residing in the city of Barcelona who have started a new economic activity as an entrepreneur:

Self-employed workers (individual entrepreneurs).
New members of worker cooperatives.

They must meet the following requirements:

Have started a new economic activity since 1 October 2021.
Registered for tax purposes in the city of Barcelona as an individual entrepreneur.
Registered as a resident in the city of Barcelona prior to tax registration.
Be unemployed before starting the activity.
Not be registered as self-employed for the same activity in the year prior to the date of registration.
Be up to date with tax obligations.

APPLY FOR THE GRANT

To request the grant, it is necessary to access the programme’s management app and report the necessary data in order to generate the corresponding request instance.

Generate the instance

Once it has been generated, it must be registered at the Barcelona City Council's Virtual Procedures Office, within the Activa Autòno+ procedure.

How to apply for the grant?

Sign up for the grant’s management app, which will generate a username and password.
Log in to the app with that user and create your request by providing all the necessary data.
Generate the corresponding request instance.
Register it at the Barcelona City Council’s Virtual Procedures Office, within the Activa Autòno+ procedure.
Wait for the notification of the result by email and, in case of approval, enter the app and upload the supporting documentation.
