On 16 April, the Barcelona Nautical Cluster will hold the II Nautical Summit, a day of meeting, knowledge and networking aimed at its members and other companies in the nautical sector. The language of the event will be Spanish and English.
Within this framework, a CONNECTIO Pitch of solutions in the field of the Blue Economy is organized, with the aim of connecting SMEs and startups with innovative proposals with the partner companies of the Barcelona Nautical Cluster as well as with other companies in the nautical sector.
For this initiative, 6 companies will be selected and will have the opportunity to present their innovative solutions in the following areas. If you think your company can provide these solutions, register for this activity before March 15th!
1. Alternative energies: Solutions to reduce emissions and move towards more sustainable navigation.
For example:
· Marine battery systems and hybrid or electric propulsion
· Port charging infrastructure
· Biofuels and alternative fuels for boats
2. Eco-friendly and sustainable antifouling materials: Sustainable materials and coatings for vessels, marinas and submerged infrastructures.
For example:
· Biocomposites for components
· Bio-based plastics for nautical parts and accessories
· Anti-corrosion materials for elements exposed to water
· Antifouling solutions for helmets, propellers and/or submerged structures
3. Artificial Intelligence and sensors applied to the nautical sector: Digital and IoT solutions to improve the efficiency, safety and management of boats and ports.
For example:
· Automation of port processes (moorings, space allocation, document management)
· Route optimization and energy consumption systems
· Improving efficiency and reducing emissions through predictive models
· Predictive maintenance in motors, batteries or electrical systems
4. Robotics applied to the nautical sector: Robotic technologies for inspection, underwater operations and security.
For example:
· ROVs for Vessel Inspection and Operations
· Underwater drones for mapping, monitoring and maintenance operations.
