Barcelona City Council, through Barcelona Activa, supports the reinforcement and competitiveness of both companies and Social and Solidarity Economy organisations with the aim of promoting the creation of wealth and quality employment in the city.
In order to develop services and activities to support companies, Barcelona Activa has various facilities:
Business Advice Office (OAE)
This is a reference point for Barcelona businesses and SMEs, with a portfolio of permanent, added value services for business growth. A team of experts provides comprehensive support to organisations according to their needs.

Through the OAE, we would like to accompany you and advise you on every strategic area for the management and growth of your business.
Personalised advisory services
Because we realise that each project is different, request a meeting with our technical team for personalised advice on: company incorporation, business financing, employee searches, international expansion, transfers of businesses, business growth, location and launches, as well as information on municipal procedures.
Management of city council procedures
We offer you information, support and help in managing City Council procedures (licences and taxes) or in relation to any other OAE services (company incorporation, autonomous community certificates and legalisation of corporate documents or digital certificates).
Training
We provide a broad catalogue of training activities that will help you to improve your company's chances of success in the various business areas.
Business programmes
We organise initiatives and activities for Barcelona companies and professionals to improve areas related to growth, rightsizing and sales.
Events
Investment forums, networking days, marketplaces and industry meetings organised by the OAE or in cooperation with other entities, where you will be able to promote your company and make strategic contacts.
Room hire
Businesses and organisations in the city can use the Barcelona Space at the Business Support Office. This space can be hired to organise a range of activities and events.
