CONVERSESS

A space to reflect on the problems caused by COVID-19 and the possible solutions that we can offer to SSE organisations in order to become more in tune with their needs and to find solutions together and to share the testimonies of other companies that have found themselves in this situation.

ConversESS seeks to follow the values of the Social Solidarity Economy as a catalyst for new models of a more sustainable, collaborative and environmentally friendly approach, as well as its integration into local production systems.

WHAT DO WE OFFER YOU?

In order to obtain a global insight into the effects of COVID-19 on organisations, we are promoting this series of activities with the aim of acquiring a broader overview of the effects caused by the pandemic through the testimonies invited to the sessions. Participants will play an active role in the training sessions, encouraging participation between the speakers and the rest of the attendees.

The round tables offered by the programme will be attended by between one and two external entities, such as VanWoow, Bildi Grafiks or La Clara Comunicació, who will share their experiences with the rest of the attendees. The organisations in charge of the training, Collectic, BaraBara Educació and Facto, will moderate and expand on the contents provided by the participants, as well as resolve any queries.

This is a programme made up of four activities which participants can register for online free of charge in order to enjoy the full duration of the series of activities.

Each of these activities will last 90 minutes, and will combine face-to-face sessions by the entities in charge of delivering the lectures with online attendance enabled for the students. For example, both at the opening session and the closing session, the people in charge of training the participants will make their presentation in person and on the podium, although the participants will attend the event virtually, which will be recorded live.

CALENDAR

The first edition of the programme is scheduled to begin on 29 September, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The workshop will last one day, the day on which various round tables will be held to inaugurate the ConversESS cycle, as well as the other workshops, and which will end with the sharing of all that has been learnt at the various round tables together with the people in charge of delivering the presentations. The subject of each workshop will be:

  • How do we manage the easing of restrictions? Measures in force and the economic revival of cooperatives and entities.
  • Communicating the SSE in times of post-lockdown and economic crisis.
  • Discussion on the impact of Covid-19 on women.
  • Closing Ceremony, a round table will be held to draw the necessary conclusions from each of the workshops.

As it is an eminently online programme, it does not have a specific location, as the only people who will work in person will be the teaching staff.
