B·CRÈDITS
B·CRÈDITS
Credits of €25,000 at 3% for self-employed individuals and microenterprises
The Barcelona City Council, through Barcelona Activa, is launching the B·credits programme, a new initiative to promote the creation of quality employment in Barcelona. The aim is to facilitate access to financing for small businesses and self-employed workers through a line of guaranteed loans and an associated grant, to support the growth and consolidation of their projects.
The B·crèdits programme has two instruments:
a) B·crèdits guaranteed loan line: under an agreement between the Barcelona City Council, Avalis de Catalunya (hereinafter Avalis) and the Institut Català de Finances (hereinafter ICF), a line of loans granted by the ICF and guaranteed by Avalis has been launched.
b) B·crèdits grant: a competitive grant for small businesses and self-employed workers in the city of Barcelona who obtain and formalise a guaranteed loan from the aforementioned line, to offset part of the expenses associated with the Avalis guarantee linked to the loan.
The guaranteed loan line consists of a total amount of €4,000,000, which will allow the granting of 160 loans of €25,000 each. These loans will be granted by the ICF with Avalis’ guarantee. The line will be available until 30-06-2027 (or until funds are exhausted) and will have the following characteristics:
In addition, the Barcelona City Council, through Barcelona Activa, offers a line of grants aimed at covering a significant part of the cost derived from the guarantee for those companies that have formalised a loan from the aforementioned line. In this sense, it is a public-private initiative designed to support the city’s economy.
