The second municipal investment fund to boost the city's deep tech ecosystem.
Barcelona City Council, through Barcelona Activa, is investing 10 million euros in national or international private venture capital entities, with the aim of boosting the city's deep tech ecosystem within the framework of the economic agenda Barcelona Green Deal. 
THE DEEP TECH ​​​​​​​SECTOR
 
The selected venture capital entities invest in newly created companies in the Barcelona area, which operate in the deep tech field, which includes the development and use of new technologies such as artificial intelligence, the internet of things, massive data processing technologies, cloud computing, blockchain, natural language processing, cyber security, biometrics and digital identity and green algorithms, or deep learning, among others.
