Since 2018 Barcelona Activa has developed several interventions aimed at promoting and strengthening specific activity sectors such as the care sector. Learning sessions are based on an analysis of the needs of the sector's socio-entrepreneurship initiatives and aim to contribute to their strengthening.

Developed actions follow the Government Measure for Democratising Care Work 2017–2020  and the Estratègia ESS Barcelona 2030 (SSE Strategy for Barcelona 2030). They aimed at the analysis and development of sustainability elements and business models, and at promoting intercooperation in the sector. For this reason, the Activem les CurESS (Boost Care) program was created.

Also within this program, the Directorate of Social Economy and Cooperatives of Barcelona Active offers training sessions to strengthen the companies and entities, and also entrepreneur projects, in the sector.

Some of the training courses previously carried out have focused on working on key aspects in the development of socio-entrepreneurship initiatives in this sector, such as viability and strategy, commercial planning, or deepening management models for the same initiatives.

On the other hand, the need to improve the communication of organizations led to the scheduling of several workshops on communication tools and digital marketing strategies. Workshops were performed in a hybrid formula (on-site and online).
