Since 2018, Barcelona Activa's Social and Impact Economy Operational Department has been working with organisations in the personal care sector to develop various initiatives to promote and strengthen the sector, applying a comprehensive vision and incorporating the values of the social and impact economy. 

The measures implemented have been framed within the previous Catalan Government Measure for the Democratització de la Cura (Democratisation of Care, 2017-2020) and the current Barcelona cap al dret a la Cura (Barcelona towards the Right to Care, 2025-2030).

Who is it aimed at?

• Care sector organisations that are established or in the process of developing care projects and aligned with the social economy.
• Established projects or organisations, or those in the consolidation phase, that need to work on specific areas and operate in the field of the social economy and care.
• Non-profit companies and projects that incorporate ESG (environmental, social and governance) impacts at the core of their activity.
• In general, any initiative, company or project with a business model focused on care management and services.
