On 5 June at Ca n'Andalet, the fifth Revesstim el tèxtil conference took place.

From thread to fabric: “Let's weave unions”, this meeting did not only theorise about cooperation, but also practised it, demonstrating that when challenges are shared, solutions multiply.

Jordi Garcia, a member of the co-operative communication agency L’Apòstrof, explained the keys to inter-cooperation in a talk that challenged ideas and attitudes. Cooperating is not easy: "we live in a competitive system that does not make it easy for us".

At the networking event, the participants introduced themselves and talked to each other about the word “textile”.

The experience library featured two initiatives that have turned intercooperation into a daily and transformative practice: the Roba Neta campaign, SETEM Catalunya, and La Iera, a non-profit association of artisans and creators from La Garrotxa.

The event closed with another participatory activity. The textile artist Elisabeth Calvet demonstrated tufting, a technique for creating reliefs on canvas by inserting threads. You can make as many designs as you like from portraits, abstract paintings and skirts to the letter ‘R’ Revesstim, which Elisabeth exhibited.
