Economic aid for the Self-employed - 2020 Call

What does the AUTÒNO+ BARCELONA programme consist of?

Barcelona City Council, through Barcelona Activa, offers a grant of €300 to self-employed workers of Barcelona most affected by COVID-19, either because they have suffered a drop of more than 75% in their sales, or because they have had to close their establishment or business, with the aim that this can be complemented with grants offered by other administrations.

Who can request the subsidy?

  • Enrolled on the Municipal Register in the city of Barcelona (prior to 20th March 2020)
  • Those who have been recognised for the Extraordinary Economic Benefit promoted by the Spanish State, the Royal Decree-Law 8/2020 of 17th March of extraordinary urgent measures to tackle the economic and social impact of the COVID-19 and its modifications.

The Extraordinary Economic Benefit has been recognised for:

    • Self-employed business owners closed by the Administration as a result of the State of Emergency, such as retail outlets (except for food and beverages, chemists, veterinary centres, healthcare, automotive companies, opticians, tobacconists, dry cleaners, technology and telecommunications).
    • Self-employed in any activity that has suffered a drop of at least 75% in incomes in March 2020, compared to the average of the last 6 months.
