The Barcelona City Council, through Barcelona Activa, created this aid program to finance projects that boost the economy of the city's neighborhoods.

This ninth edition features eight categories linked to strategic economic challenges and sectors. The categories are:

• Category 1A: Economic activity in empty ground floor premises and market stalls. Maximum amount from €8,000 to €15,000.
• Category 1B: Economic activity in municipal ground floor premises. Maximum amount €15,000.
• Category 1C: Economic diversification and protection of local businesses and services in EGA spaces. Maximum amount €10,000.
• Category 2: Social economy and other impactful economic initiatives. Maximum amount €8,000.
• Category 3: Promotion of quality employment in the territory. Maximum amount €40,000.
• Category 4: Social and technological innovation in the sector of the economy of care. Maximum amount €30,000.
• Category 5: Sustainable food and responsible consumption. Maximum amount €16,000.
• Category 6: Women Leaders. Entrepreneurs, Professionals and Managers. NEW! Maximum amount €9,000.

Each organisation or individual applicant may only select one category.
